Man Accused In Cold-Blooded Slaying Indicted, Faces Death Penalty

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The man accused in a cold-blooded murder has been indicted.

Damien C. Gantz indicted on charges of aggravated murder, aggravated robbery, tampering with evidence and kidnapping. Gantz was also indicted on having weapons while under disability for a 2008 drug conviction.

This, after the 20-year-old allegedly pulled out a gun to rob 49-year-old Terry Fitten as he was withdrawing money from an ATM in East Cleveland.

Gantz is accused of fatally shooting the victim and discarding the gun and his clothes into the lake and fleeing to Michigan. He eventually surrendered to police.

Gantz faces the death penalty.
