Fatal Shot: Teen Boy Succumbs To Injuries Sustained In Weekend Shooting

NEW DETAILS: CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - New developments in a weekend shooting on Cleveland's Eastside.

17-year-old Brandon Young died early Thursday morning after he was shot in the back Saturday afternoon on East 186th Street.

Brandon, accompanied by his 16-year-old brother and two friends stated that they were walking on East 186th after exiting a store when a black Grand Am pulled up next to them followed by immediate gunfire from the front seat passenger. 

The Young brothers were shot - their friends escaped injury.  The victims were taken to Huron Hospital where Brandon was taken into surgery. Brandon died shortly before 3AM at Metro. His brother is recovering from his injuries.

No arrests were made following the shooting. 

The matter is being investigated by the Homicide Unit with assistance from the Narcotics Unit Gang Impact Squad and detectives from the 5th District Detective Bureau.
