CMSD Employee Accused Of Taking Bribes

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A Cleveland Metropolitan School District employee is accused of taking bribes.

Paperwork was filed in federal court Tuesday against Bernard Watkins.

Watknis - a technical supervisor for CMSD Safety and Security - allegedly contacted a Texas security company about doing the annual maintenance and service for the district.

Watkins then allegedly told the company that he expected 3-5% of whatever the contract would be.

The company - Vision Security Solutions - immediately contacted the FBI.

Watkins was then set up and when two separate payments for a total of $7 grand was handed over, he was busted.
