CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A pregnant Cleveland mother accused of fatally beat her 5-year-old son plead not guilty in court Friday.
Angel Glass is accused of hitting her son, Arshon Baker, with a hair brush and then with a belt because the little boy did not comply when Glass told him to get into the corner.
Little Arshon became limp and 911 was called. On the next day when police arrived to execute a search warrant, 22-year-old Larry Wanzo refused to allow police into the Ovington Avenue house.
Arshon later died from blunt force trauma to the head, neck, trunk and extremities. He suffered abrasions and contusions to his forehead, nose and cheeks and also had older injuries covering his body including fractured wrists.
Larry Wanzo was indicted on obstructing justice.
Because the victim was under the age of 13-years-old, 24-year-old Glass faces the death penalty and is being held without bond. She is currently pregnant.
