CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A 33-year-old man is dead and his 71-year-old mother is behind bars for his murder.
Cleveland's Homicide Unit investigated a stabbing incident Friday around 3:15 p.m. at 1116 E.72nd Street.
Witnesses told Cleveland Police that 33-year-old Damon A. Washington was arguing with his 71-year old mother Ann Washington when Ms. Washington picked up a kitchen steak knife and stabbed him in the chest.
Authorities say the two were arguing over mail.
Ms. Washington was arrested and her son was transported to Huron Hospital by EMS where he later died.
Ms. Washington is being held in Cleveland City Jail. No formal charges have been filed.
