Free Erie County H1N1 Clinic

ERIE COUNTY, OH (WOIO) - The next Erie County Health Department H1N1 Clinic is scheduled for this afternoon from 2 - 6 pm at the Cedar Point Center of BGSU - Firelands.

Parking is available in Lot H and signs will direct you to the clinic location. This clinic is free and open to anyone who fits into one of the priority groups. Please note that due to an increase in available vaccine, the priority groups have been expanded.

The priority groups that this vaccine is available to are:

· Pregnant Women

· Health care and Emergency Medical Services Personnel

· Individuals 6 months - 24 years of age

· Individuals who live with or provide care for infants younger than 6 months old

· Individuals from 25 through 64 years of age with certain chronic medical conditions like asthma, heart disease and diabetes or a weakened immune system.

Anyone interested in H1N1 vaccine as it becomes available can pre-register through an on-line registration system set-up by the Ohio Department of Health. Once you have registered, you can print out your personal registration form which when brought to the vaccination clinic will allow for quicker processing. The pre-registration form can be accessed through the Ohio Department of Health website and clicking on H1N1 .
