BROOK PARK, OH (WOIO) - Marines from Headquarters and Service Company, 3rd Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment collected for Toys for Tots collection Dec. 6th outside the Cleveland Browns Stadium prior to and during the Browns' football game versus the San Diego Chargers Sunday.

The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys each winter holiday season for distribution to less-fortunate children in our community in order to send a message of hope to the children.

The program also provides Marines the opportunity to forge a close relationship with members of our host community.

Over the years, Marines from Headquarters and Service Company have volunteered to assist in the efforts of the local annual campaign. The 2008 campaign distributed about 50,000 toys to more than 40,000 children throughout Cuyahoga and Lorain counties.

Headquarters and Service Company is a subordinate command of the 4th Marine Division, Marine Forces Reserve, and is comprised of more than 300 reserve and active-duty Marines and Sailors.
