CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Today is the 68th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.

A Pearl Harbor Memorial Marker will be placed on the grounds of the USS Cod, a restored submarine.

The Cod is located on Memorial Road just west of Burke Lakefront.

The memorial stone reads:

"Dedicated to the memory of the fallen heroes of Pearl Harbor, December 7th, 1941. Honor-valor-sacrifice more than 2,400 lives were lost in the attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii by the imperial naval forces of Japan. With love and remembrance they are not forgotten."

The stone was originally dedicated on December 7th, 2003 and located in front of the Coast Guard Station on E. 9th street. The Coast Guard later moved and it was put in storage.
