Medina, OH- The general public is next in line for free H1N1 vaccine shots and nasal spray in Medina County. The Medina County Health Department will use a "line ticket system" for people attending the following clinics:
· Thursday, December 17, 2009, from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Ohio National Guard Armory, 920 W. Lafayette Road in Medina.
· Wednesday, December 30, 2009, from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Brunswick High School, 3581 Center Road in Brunswick.
H1N1 flu clinics are based on vaccine availability and are subject to change or cancellation. Check our website at
www.medinahealth.org <http://www.medinahealth.org> for cancellations. For more information, please call 330-721-4380; please do not call the clinic locations. There will be no early admittance or lining up prior to an H1N1 clinic.
When the line for the H1N1 vaccine exceeds one hour, people in line will be offered a line ticket to return to the clinic instead of waiting outside in the cold December weather. Line ticket times are approximate wait times and may vary depending on the needs of people receiving the H1N1 vaccine. Line tickets will be matched to the number of vaccine doses available at the clinic. If someone returns to the clinic late after the line ticket time has passed, the person may need a new line ticket with a new return time.
Due to staffing H1N1 mass clinics, limited Medina County Health Department services will be available at our main building on the day of H1N1 mass clinics. Please call in advance for services available during H1N1 clinics. Office appointments are not available for H1N1 vaccine.
Up to 2,000 doses will be available at each mass clinic. A special needs area will be available for people who have disabilities or special medical needs. People with special needs should notify a clinic greeter when they arrive.
