Lights Out: Winds Knocking Out Power to Thousands of Customers

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The powerful winds have taken down some trees and power lines throughout Northeast Ohio leaving thousands of people in the dark.

The largest affected area is Beachwood in Cuyahoga County. The latest reports suggest that there are between 2,000 and 5,000 customers are without power.  Beachwood City Schools are closed Wednesday due to no power.

Much of downtown Elyria is also out of power.  19 Action News has received calls that there are downed power lines in the city . Fire Station 1 is also without power at this time!
