PARMA, OH (WOIO) - A disturbing update to the Wednesday morning fire at ParmaTown Mall.

Parma Fire Inspectors have ruled that the fire in the US Fame clothing store was deliberately set.

The fire sparked inside the store around 9:30AM Wednesday and caused extensive smoke damage. The fire department has a training facility inside the mall and 20 firefighters were in class when the fire broke out, and immediately responded.

The mall was shut down for a large portion of the day while crews worked to clear out the smoke.

Inspectors will conduct an arson investigation with the Parma Police Department. Anyone with any information can call the Parma Police Tip line at 440-887-7340
