Meth Mess: Drug Complaint Yields Meth Bust In Akron

AKRON, OH (WOIO) - A meth bust in the city of Akron early Tuesday morning.

After following up on a drug complaint around 2AM, officers were granted permission by the homeowner to search a garage in the 500 block of West Wilbeth Road where they discovered a meth lab.

They seized chemicals and other items used to manufacture Methamphetamines; including digital scales, snorting straws, syringes and razor blades.

40-year-old John Bennington was arrested and charged with Illegal Manufacturing of Methamphetamines, Illegal Assembly of Chemicals, Possession of Methamphetamines, Possession of Criminal Tools and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Bennington was booked into the Summit County Jail.
