Cleveland's First Homicide of 2010

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO)- Authorities responded to shots heard around 1:20 Monday morning near 13700 West Avenue.

Police arrived and found a man lying on the ground shot. The unidentified, 30-year-old man was transported to Metro Health Medical Center where he later died. The coroner's office has not released the victim's name.

Police have a 24-year-old man in custody, who was involved in the shooting.

The victim was with his younger brother while visiting the suspect at his home. Apparently, the victim was shot during a confrontation with the suspect.

Police arrested the suspect on the scene and confiscated two guns. One from the suspect and one from the victim.

The Homicide Unit is investigating the incident.

An autopsy will be performed tomorrow.
