(CNN) - If you want to get behind the wheel of one of Nissan's new cars, it's going to cost you a little more than 25-thousand dollars.

It's the 2011 Nissan Leaf battery-powered electric car.

The sticker price will be 32-thousand 780-dollars but buyers will get a federal tax credit of 75-hundred bucks.

And depending where you live it could be even cheaper!

Some states, like California, are offering extra incentives for buying an electric car.

Nissan said it already has a list of more than 80-thousand people who have expressed interest in the Leaf.

The Leaf hits dealerships in the U-S in December... and comes out just one month after General Motors' Chevrolet Volt.
