The crash happened just after midnight in Bath Township.

The victims have been positively identified as 16-year old Kelvin Pantojas from Mavin Street in Cleveland and 74-year old Calvin McMahan of N. Turner Road in Austintown.

Police say McMahan was hit by stolen car, being driven by Pantojas', as he was trying to cross I-77.

After striking the McMahan, Pantojas crossed the Northbound and Southbound lanes and crashed through a light pole and fence in a heavily wooded area.

He was killed instantly. The 18-year-old passenger in Pantojas' car was rushed to the hospital. Still no word on a condition.

Fairlawn police had tried to pull the car over for traffic violations just before the fatal crash, but the car fled in the direction of I-77.

The vehicle was reported stolen from Jackson Township Police department shortly before the accident took place.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is still investigating, but say Pantojas was speeding.
