CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - In the distressed economy of northeast Ohio, volunteer cooks, serves, busers, drivers, and helpers will feed more than 10,000 Easter Sunday at 4 locations. Dozens of drivers and their assistants will deliver 2000 meals to shut-ins across the area.
The effort, a reflection of Christ's teaching.
This massive undertaking is centered at St. Augustine parish at 2486 W. 14th street in Cleveland's Tremont neighborhood.
More than ever there is need and the requests for meals are coming from areas where there was not previously, a demand. The St. Augustine Hunger Center is producing meals of ham, sweet potatoes, vegetable, and dessert.
