Man Hunt: Police Search for E. 149th Shooting Suspect

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Police are on the lookout for the suspect who shot a man in the chest Easter Sunday around 8:30 a.m.

Cleveland Police tell 19 Action News that a man and a woman were fighting in the 3400 block of E.149th when the woman called another man on her phone.

The man known as "Meechie" arrived on scene a short time later and began arguing with the male, then pulled out a black handgun and shot the victim in the chest.

Meechie then fled the scene in a yellow Dodge Neon.

After further investigation by the officers, "Meechie" was identified as 23-year-old Demetrius Strowder.

The 29-year-old victim was taken to Metro Health Medical Center where he is being treated for his injuries.
