Six men and One Woman indicted for the murder of a Parma man

PARMA, OH  (WOIO) - Seven men have been indicted for their involvement in the murder of 28-year-old Deon Mills at the Midtown Towers Apartment Complex on March 22, 2010.

*Otis Terrell, 18, of Cleveland
*Kenneth Samuels, 21, of Parma                    
*James J. Merrill, 20, of Cleveland
*Demetrius E. Stewart, Jr., 19, of Cleveland
*Alex B. Ford, 20, of Cleveland
*Marcus Foster, 20, of Cleveland

were indicted on charges of aggravated murder, attempted murder, felonious assault, and improperly discharging into habitation. Samuels and Merrill were also indicted on one count of tampering with evidence. Samuels was further indicted on charges of carrying a concealed weapon and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle.

*Makenzie Lenz, 18, of Parma, was indicted on charges of aggravated burglary and burglary.

According to police Lenz let the six men into the Broadview Road apartment building and they went to a fifth floor apartment and began kicking in the door.

Deon Mills, was inside the apartment, along with a female. Mills pushed on the door to prevent them from getting in but he was shot through the door and died.

The men fled the building and later hid the murder weapon.
