CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Well, it was nice while it lasted.

Talk about a reality check. Gone are the 80-degree temperatures and brilliant sunshine. Now, clouds and showers will rule the roost for your Thursday. Check out your Ford First Alert Forecast HERE for complete details.

You definitely want to check out real-time road conditions before hitting the open, and possibly slick, road this Thursday morning.

Here are just a few stories we are working on this hour.

An investigation is underway after a deadly trench collapse in Hudson on Wednesday. Two men were working in the 15-foot trench when the clay wall gave way. One man didn't survive, the other is recovering in the hospital. The very latest into what went wrong.

A community rallies for a young mother found slain on the side of I-90 early Monday morning. The woman, found naked, bloodied and beaten, lay there longer than necessary because responding officers mistook her for a deer, despite several calls from concerned passer-bys. As their fate is weighed, two people are questioned in Angel Bradley-Crockett's murder.

And, on a much lighter note, top honors for 19 Action News Anchor Denise Dufala! Denise has been recognized by her peers in the Cleveland Association Of Broadcasters by being inducted into their Hall Of Fame as an "Excellence In Broadcasting" Honoree. Congratulations, Denise!!
