SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) - A wall collapsed around 1 p.m. Saturday at the Lee Road Station on the Blue Line of Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA). The track was not damaged, but pedestrians cannot board there.

The station was shut down immediately, and the Blue Line ceased operation. Sunday, RTA is operating shuttle buses on the Blue Line, from Shaker Square to the end of the line at the Warrensville-Van Aken Station.

Sunday morning, a crane and a contractor will begin removing debris and taking down the rest of the wall.

Monday is a work day for most commuters and also Opening Day for the Cleveland Indians. The Blue Line will operate, but the Lee Road Station will remain closed. Shuttle buses will operate to take riders from Lee Road to a nearby station.

The shuttle buses will continue to operate until Thursday, when the Lee Road Station is expected to re-open. RTA staff will be stationed along the route to help customers.
