CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) – A hearing later this afternoon for a suspected serial killer.

Anthony Sowell's attorneys might get their first chance - in open court - to question Judge Timothy McGinty.

They want to know why Judge McGinty leaked medical records, and what the secret note he sent to the case's current judge, Judge Shirley Strickland Saffold, said.

19 Action News has learned McGinty - and even prosecutors - filed papers late Tuesday afternoon hoping to make sure he would not have to answer questions.

Sowell's lawyers want Judge Saffold to step aside. This, after she filed a lawsuit against the Plain Dealer.  The local paper traced Internet comments about the case to Judge Saffold's computer.

Anthony Sowell is suspected of murdering eleven women at his Imperial Avenue property.
