SUGAR CREEK TOWNSHIP, OH (WOIO) - The Ohio State Highway Patrol's Canton Post is asking anyone with information on the driver and - or location of a truck involved in a serious hit-skip crash with a horse and buggy that occurred Monday on State Route 93 between Beach City and Brewster in Sugar Creek Township in Stark County.

Patrol investigators believe the truck is a red Dodge Dakota between the years of 1997 and 2004. The vehicle should be missing the right front headlight assembly, the right side mirror assembly and have right front and right side damage.

The buggy was traveling southbound on State Route 93 when it was struck from behind by another southbound vehicle. The buggy was forced off the right side of the road and the driver was ejected into the roadway. The driver of the buggy is in critical condition at Aultman Hospital in Canton.

The vehicle fled the scene and has not yet been located. The crash remains under investigation.
