CHINA (WOIO) - A new report out Wednesday says the death toll has risen to 400 in China following a 6.9 magnitude earthquake.
The quake struck just at 7:49 p.m. EST Tuesday evening.
According to Chinese state television, an additional 10,000 people were injured.
Rescue workers continue to struggle digging out the trapped in Qinghai province, not far from Tibet.
According to several published reports, rescue efforts were hindered by telecommunications problems, with phone lines down.
