CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The massive FBI county corruption probe has nabbed yet another high profile name.

U.S. prosecutors now say North Royalton Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Joseph O'Malley lied to the FBI.

North Royalton city officials say O'Malley was fired Monday afternoon.

He recently assured city officials he was not being investigated but prosecutors have charged O'Malley for lying and failing to report criminal activity in County Auditor Frank Russo's office.

19 Action News confronted O'Malley last year over his lucrative contracts with the county as a computer contract consultant after working as the head of the county's I.T. Department.
