CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - City leaders, teachers and students took to the steps of Cleveland City Hall urging the federal government to pass a school bailout bill.

Cleveland City Councilman Zack Reed spoke about the bill saying "what we're asking the federal government to do is the same thing they did with the fat cats on Wallstreet and banks and the auto industry. Send that money back here so we don't have to lay off 545 teachers in the city of Cleveland."

A twenty-three billion dollar bailout would go to school districts across the country.
