Wanted: Task Force on the Hunt for Daniel Lanier Travis

(WOIO) - The Akron Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force are asking for assistance from the public for information that could lead to the arrest of Daniel Lanier Travis.

Travis is wanted on multiple charges including, Aggravated Murder, Felonious Assault, Obstructing Official Business, Misrepresenting Identity, Violation of a Protection Order and various traffic charges.

Travis is wanted for the death of J'Suan Eugene Slayton on April 07, 2010 in the 600 block of Fern Street. Travis shot Slayton multiple times following an altercation.

Daniel Lanier Travis has a last known address on South Rhodes Avenue. He is medium complexioned, 26 year old, black male. He is 5'09" and 150 lbs.

A reward of up to $1,000.00 is being offered by the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force for information directly related to the arrest of Daniel Lanier Travis.
