CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A Cleveland city worker has been hit with a series of criminal charges.
George Smith III was slapped with new charges including kidnapping and assault and if you think this is bad, you won't believe Smith's record before the city hired him.
He had a record dating back to the early 90's for drugs, weapons, assault and stolen property.
Smith is the manager of a program for convicts getting back on the streets and now he's accused of stalking his ex-girlfriend.
Police say he tracked her down and attacked her.
With the new charges pending, Smith is now off his $50,000 dollar a year job with the city.
