AKRON, OH (WOIO) - A 19 Action News Alert.

Akron police are investigating two attempted abductions in the Bath Crest neighborhood.

Both incidents happened while the kids were walking home from school

The first was on April 29th, when a student says she was approached by a white man at Arborway Drive and Cardigan Drive. The man is described as being in his 30s or 40s, driving a blue sports car with New York plates. He was wearing a black Nike hat.

The second incident happened a few days later on May 3rd. The second student victim says he was approached by a white man in his late 40s with short dark hair, long mustache on Pelee Drive between Cardigan and Londonberry Drive. The suspect in the second case was driving a small to mid-sized silver car.

The suspect description and vehicles are different, but, in both cases, the suspect asked the kids if they needed a ride.

Police tell 19 Action News they are actively investigating both incidents and have alerted the Revere Schools.
