ELYRIA, OH (WOIO) - Three teens were shot while inside the Toy Box Bar located at 581 Broad Street early Saturday morning.
Police responded to the shooting just before 2 a.m. and were told that an unidentified male fired approximately seven shots inside of the bar. There were no victims on scene when the officers arrived.
Police recovered 7.25 caliber shell castings from inside the bar but could not located the actual weapon.
While on scene at the Toy Box Bar, officers learned that two shooting victims were in the emergency room at Elyria Memorial Hospital.
The victims were identified as 19-year-old Terry L. Jackson of Elyria, Ohio and 19-year-old Reggan C. Kimbro of Lorain, Ohio. A third shooting victim arrived later at the hospital and was identified as 18-year-old Laquan E. Wallace also of Elyria, Ohio.
Terry L. Jackson Jr. of Elyria suffered a gunshot wound to the left side of his upper body. Reggan C. Kimbro was treated for a gunshot wound to her left wrist and Laquan E. Wallace was shot in the right hand.
All three victims were later taken to MetroHealth Medical Center where their current condition is unknown.
The Elyria Police Department Detective Bureau was called out to assist the Patrol Division with the investigation.
The suspect is described as a black male, wearing a dark colored jacket and a white t-shirt. Detectives were unable to obtain any other information about the suspect at this time.
Detectives from the Elyria Police Department are currently conducting an investigation into the events surrounding the shooting. It is undetermined why the subject fired shots inside the Toy Box Bar that struck Jackson, Kimbro, and Wallace.
