CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A disc jockey at an eastside nightclub was shot during an armed robbery early Sunday morning.
Cleveland Police Fifth District zone cars arrived at 13825 St. Clair Avenue at the Casino East nightclub for a report of a robbery and male shot.
When they arrived, the owner of club told authorities that as he was closing up, two males with guns wearing bandanas over their faces forced their way into the building.
After entering the club one of the males jumped over the bar and took money from the cash register, as the other male watched the people in the club. As the male was taking the money from the cash register the 23-year-old disc jockey attempted to leave the stage and was shot twice by one of the suspect in the back.
After robbing the club, both suspects fled the scene in an undetermined direction.
The victim was transported to Huron Road Hospital by EMS, where he is being treated for his injuries. The victim's condition is unknown at this time.

The suspects were described as black males in their 20's each approximately 6'1". One suspect wore a purple bandana, the other wore a red bandana.
This investigation is being handled by the Fifth District Detective Bureau.
