Akron Man Stabs Foe in Neck During Fight, Hides Crack Pipe in Police Cruiser

AKRON, OH (WOIO) - A 50-year-old Akron man behind bars after a stabbing late Monday night in the city.

John T. Johnson was arrested following an altercation with another man, Fredrick A. Frazier outside Johnson's apartment.

Frazier was stabbed in the neck and transported to Akron General Medical Center where his injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

Johnson was taken into custody and transported to the police station for further questioning. Once at the station, Johnson told officers that he hid a crack pipe under the rear seat of the cruiser. Officers recovered the crack pipe.

Johnson was charged with felonious assault and possession of drug paraphernalia and he was booked into the Summit County Jail.
