UPDATE: CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The motorist who ran down a little boy - twice - before fleeing the scene was sentenced to prison Wednesday morning.

Teasha Jones was driving on East 96th in August of 2008 when she ran over an 8-year-old boy. The heartless 26-year-old stopped her vehicle, put it in reverse, and drove backwards hitting the victim a second time.

The child fell, hitting his face on the pavement. In an attempt to roll over to avoid Jones' oncoming car, the child grabbed the car's muffler and burned his hands.

Jones then fled from the scene and hid her car behind an apartment building on Anderson Avenue and removed the license plate.

The child sustained a fractured femur, fractured knee, and multiple abrasions, as well as burns to his face, leg and hands. He has since recovered from his injuries.

Jones was sentenced to 30 days in jail, must serve five months house arrest and will be placed on one year probation after that.
