CLEVELAND,OH (WOIO) - 19 Action News has new information concerning the Cleveland Medical Mart and Convention Center.

Cuyahoga County officials have struck a deal to remove the last business currently on the site. The $425 million project had been hanging in the balance, that is until Wednesday.

After months of tough negotiations, The Sportsman, known for it's corned beef sandwiches, is moving out.

We already reported the county is also forking over $20 million to the city of Cleveland for the buildings below Mall B & C but the city gets to keep Public Hall.

The county already has an agreement for the building on Superior and the big parking garage to cover the rest of the project.

The Sportsman was the last hold out. Now the historic deli will move out of the way for the new Medical Mart and Convention Center.

Nobody on either side of deal is talking, but sources tell 19 Action News say that the deal is done.

The deli will get millions and county officials now can begin construction on the Medical Mart.

The official announcement could come as early as this morning at the county commissioner's meeting.
