Foiled: Career Crooks Busted for trying to commit armed robbery from Behind Bars

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Three career criminals are sentenced for trying to commit a couple of robberies from behind bars.

Authorities say 24-year old James Jones asked his 16-year old girlfriend to sneak a gun inside the stores and give the manager her cell phone while he threatened them from jail.

The stores involved included a Walmart and two Marc's.

Cuyahoga County Sheriff's deputies uncovered the plot and busted Jones, Mario Mormile and Mark Kurdila.

Jones, Mormile and Kurdila have been convicted and each got three years in prison.

The teens case was handled by Juvenile Court.
