OHIO (WOIO) -  The Ohio State Highway Patrol released a video and several sound bites of Tpr. Anthony Pearcy, of the Patrol, and Officer George Baker, of the Mt. Orab Police Department, regarding an incident in which the officers were involved in pulling a man from a burning trailer on Hess Road in Brown County on May 8.

Tpr. Pearcy was on regular Patrol when he was flagged down by a Mt. Orab Police Officer in-route to an active fire. Upon arriving at the residence, officers pulled the wheelchair-bound man from an area near the door, as oxygen tanks exploded near-by in the trailer. A neighbor and a roommate of the man had managed to get him out of his wheelchair and moved him near the doorway before being overcome by smoke.

After the officers moved the man a safe distance from the residence, Fire and EMS personnel arrived on-scene and Med-Flight was called to air-lift the gentleman to the hospital. If it had not been for the actions of these officers, the victim would have sustained serious or life-threatening injuries.
