Fallen Star: Actor Dennis Hopper has Died at Age 74

VENICE, CA (WOIO)  -  Actor Dennis Hopper has died at the age of 74 according to www.cbsnews.com.

The actor was with family and friends at his Venice, California home when his battle with prostate cancer came to an end.

Hopper has performed in more than 160 films and was nominated for two Academy Awards for his role in Easy Rider and Hoosiers. He was also nominated for two Golden Globe Awards for his performances in Hoosiers and Blue Velvet.

His upcoming computer animated film is called Alpha and Omega and is about a pack of wolves. It is scheduled to be released by Lionsgate. The film will star the voices of Justin Long, Hayden Panettiere, Christina Ricci and Dennis Hopper.
