Garfield Heights - The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and Terrace Construction Company, Inc. have started a project to replace the deck of the State Route 2 bridge over Interstate 90 in the city of Cleveland.

Crews started work Tuesday night and closed two lanes in the eastbound direction and one lane in the westbound direction on State Route 2 over the Interstate 90 Innerbelt Curve. One lane will remain open in each direction for use.

Evening rush hour delays are expected.

At least one lane in each direction on State Route 2 will remain open for the duration of the project. Intermittent, nightly lane closures on Interstate 90 beneath the structure are also expected during portions of the project.

Crews will work both daily and nightly, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., as the project progresses.

The entire project replaces the deck of the State Route 2 bridge over Interstate 90 and is expected to be complete on, or around, August 30, 2010.

All dates and times are approximate and weather dependent.
