CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - An East Cleveland man in court for a violent assault on his girlfriend.
Lavelle Temple was arraigned on charges of attempted murder, domestic violence and felonious assault with notice of prior conviction for a 2008 felonious assault conviction.
On May 9th, the 20-year-old got into an argument with his 36-year-old girlfriend at their Hartford Road residence in East Cleveland.
Police tell 19 Action News Temple picked her up and slammed her onto her head on the dinning room floor.
She was transported to Huron Hospital and then to Metro Hospital. She is paralyzed from the neck down from the injuries.
Police arrested Temple on May 19th at a home on Helmsdale in East Cleveland.
Temple's bond was set at $250,000. He's due back in court on June 14th.
