Three Years: Sentence for Cleveland man convicted of stealing from House that Exploded

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - William Calderwood will be gone for the next three years.

The Cleveland man was sentenced to 36 months in prison for stealing appliances from the W. 83rd house that eventually exploded, damaging more than 70 other homes.

Calderwood was cleared of the arson charges last Friday when jurors came back with the verdict.

The W. 83rd home exploded in February after someone tampered with a gas line in the basement

Four people sustained injuries, but have since recovered.
