Incontinence - Cleveland 19 News Cleveland, OH

Incontinence

Approximately 30 to 50 percent of all women and 10 percent of all men in the U.S. suffer in some degree from urinary incontinence, or the involuntary leakage of urine. Problems range from slight dripping when someone laughs, coughs, or sneezes to completely emptying the bladder with no prior warning.

Though anyone at any age can suffer from incontinence, it's commonly seen in women in their late 40's, around menopause, who have experienced at least one vaginal delivery.

Incontinence can be embarrassing, disabling and extremely uncomfortable, diminishing your quality of life. But, almost everyone's incontinence can be improved with treatment.
