Teen Killed: Cleveland Teen Fatally Shot While Walking with Friends

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The Cleveland Division of Police Homicide Unit is investigating the death of 17-year-old Jaquon Thompson.

Monday around 6:33 p.m., Fourth District zone cars responded to 15914 Glendale Avenue for a male shot. Upon arrival on scene the officers located the victim with a possible gunshot wound to the head. EMS responded to the scene and conveyed the victim to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he later expired from his injuries.

The Cleveland Division of Police Homicide Unit was notified and responded to the scene.

Officers were informed that the victim was walking west bound on Glendale with six other males, when a group of four males walking east bound on Glendale fired several shots into the victim's group hitting the victim in the head. After shooting the victim the males fled the scene on foot.
