PERRYSBURG TOWNSHIP, OH (WOIO) - A bittersweet end to the school year for a group of Northwest Ohio graduates.

More than 100 Lake High School graduating seniors came together Tuesday night for their commencement services. This comes after the weekend's deadly tornadoes.

One of the hardest hit areas was Millbury in Wood County.

Lake High School had to move its services from the small town to Owens Community College in nearby Perrysburg Township.

The twister tore the roof off the gymnasium of the school.

The storm also took the lives of five people, including the father of the school's valedictorian.

A team of National Weather Service Meteorologists did an extensive survey of the tornado path in northeast Wood County and western Ottawa County on Monday. They group determined that a tornado with an intensity of EF4 on the enhanced Fujita scale with winds approximately 170-175 mph moved through the area.
