AKORN, OH (WOIO) - A home health aide worker is accused of stealing hundreds of dollars from an elderly couple he was supposed to be helping.

20-year-old Keith Dardie, Jr. is charged with theft. He's employed by Community Care Givers in Cuyahoga Falls.

The family of 90-year-old Anthony Arapp and his 83-year-old wife, Katherine, became suspicious of Dardie when money began disappearing. They set up a home video recorder which caught Dardie taking money out of drawers and wallets.

The family immediately called police and Dardie was thrown in the slammer.

The family says he stole around $600 dollars.
