AURORA, OH (WOIO) - Aurora Police are investigating the cause of death for a newborn baby boy.
Police received a call on Sunday around 11:30AM from Robinson Memorial Hospital. The hospital employee told police a 16-year-old Aurora girl had been brought to the ER by her father. She was carrying the placenta. Police were notified immediately.
Police went to the home and found the body of the newborn boy.
The infant was taken to the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office, where the cause and manner of death will be determined.
Police are treating this as a criminal investigation. At this time, there are no charges against the teen mom. Her name is not being released.
