WASHINGTON D.C. (WOIO) – President Obama will be in the hot seat Tuesday evening when he addresses the nation about the Gulf oil spill.

President Obama got up close and personal with the catastrophe in the Gulf again Monday during his fourth trip to the region. "We are going to do everything we can 24/7 to make sure communities get back on their feet  and in the end, I am confident we are going to be able to leave the Gulf coast in better shape than it was before."

The president spent the day in Alabama with local politicians and business leaders - struggling to stay afloat.

President Obama put his money where his mouth is - for lunch, he ate seafood from the Gulf and said it was "delicious."

Two million gallons of crude are still spilling into the Gulf everyday.  It's not only suffocating sea life, but local businesses too.

Owners are losing thousands of dollars and are forced to layoff workers just to stay in business.
