CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - While undergoing lung cancer treatment at the Cleveland Clinic, a Kentucky woman left her dog with a pet sitter in the Euclid area only to have the pup run away.

After Judy Gibbins' stay at the Cleveland Clinic, she and her husband went to pick up Benji, but the pet sitter was out searching for him.

Somehow, Benji got out and ran away. Judy believes her beloved pup was looking for her.

The couple has been desperately searching for Benji ever since, but with no luck. They are currently staying in North Olmsted, but may have to return to Kentucky today.

Benji is black with a white chest and weighs about 15 pounds. He is part poodle and part sheltie with floppy ears and brown and black feet.

If you have seen him, please contact Judy at 1-606-694-6951.
