MAPLE HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) – Criminal charges are now pending for one local store accused of selling knock-off shoes and apparel. The store is also accused of drug trafficking marijuana.

Last week, 19 Action News was the only camera in town rolling as Bratenahl Police and federal agents swarmed a retail store after an undercover investigation with an officer on the inside.

The store says they sell legit Nike shoes and the raid was no "big deal."

Turns out it is a big deal after all. Records show detectives took approximately one-hundred pairs of the shoes as well as name brand shirts and jeans.

Meanwhile, Maple Heights police are doing their own investigation on the same store. They believe there is a marijuana drug trafficking case there.

As for the counterfeit clothing, investigators say the store was hit with a cease and desist order back in October 2008, so only time will tell if the items retrieved are also knock-offs.

Mayfield Heights Police say their raid is connected to another raid in Cleveland for knock-off shoes.
