WANTED: Career Con Man Cuts Off Monitoring Device, Flees Area

(WOIO) - The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information which would lead to the capture of fugitive Matthew Rios.

Rios is wanted by the U.S. Marshals, for violating his federal probation. Rios's was convicted in federal court on charges of uttering and possessing counterfeit securities, and conspiracy to commit fraud. Rios has not abided by the conditions of his release by continually failing mandatory drug tests, failing to report to probation, and re-offending due to other fraud schemes. Rios is a career con man who has defrauded numerous victims and companies. Rios was recently ordered to be electronically monitored by the courts; however he has cut off the monitoring device and fled the area. Rios does have violence in his criminal background.

Rios is a 34 year white male standing approximately 6'00", and weighing 225 pounds. He has brown hair and has brown eyes. Rios has previously resided on the 33000 block of Aurora Road in Solon. Rios is most notably known to frequent the Solon area. Rios has lived at numerous residences in the Solon area; however Rios has contacts throughout Ohio to include Cleveland.
