Man who ran up six-figure lottery ticket tab gets jail

PAINESVILLE, Ohio (AP) - He bet more than $1 million on the Ohio Lottery, his checks bounced and now he's headed to jail.
On Thursday, a judge in Painesville in northeast Ohio sentenced Patrick Murray, 43, of Wickliffe, to six months in jail.
He pleaded guilty to writing three bad checks totaling $181,000 to lottery outlets in Wickliffe and Eastlake.
The Ohio Lottery Commission said one store still owes the commission nearly $500,000 for tickets Murray got but never paid for.
