CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A federal arbitrator says hundreds of Cleveland school teachers will not be forced to re-apply for their jobs.

As part of the restructuring plan announced last winter -- Cleveland Schools CEO Dr. Eugene Sanders wanted teachers in under-performing schools to re-apply for their jobs.

However, the arbitrator ruled the district will have to follow the rules of the teachers' contract, which means jobs are cut by seniority.
